It is hard to keep perspective when I feel like I'm trapped, because I tend to focus on our inability to move, rather than the fact that we're trapped in a pretty great place! Just to make you feel a little better our house has lost over $250,000 in value in just 5 short years. We have a plan to move in the next 5-7 years. Like you we really do love our house but don't like the feeling of being trapped because we cannot sell. Right now I'm working on what we have (with our home) not what we don't have.
